• He secured All India Rank 38 in the UPSC Civil Services Examination, which qualified him for the prestigious Indian Administrative Service (IAS). However, instead of opting for a stable bureaucratic career, he chose to pursue full-time politics with the RSS and BJP. 
• This decision was seen as unusual at the time because most candidates who pass the UPSC prefer the security and respect that come with civil services. He took the uncertain but powerful path of politics, concentrating on organizational work and public leadership.
• His political journey began at a very young age. When he was just 15, he became the Secretary of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) at Nagpur University, demonstrating early signs of leadership in student politics.
• During his student activism, he helped organize protests in 1986 against the Mandal Commission recommendations. This involvement in political movements gave him early exposure to ideological debates and grassroots mobilization.
